Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the RoutTag mobile application or website (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RoutTag ("Company", "we", "our", or "us").

2. About RoutTag

RoutTag is a peer-to-peer package delivery platform that connects senders with couriers — including everyday individuals and businesses already traveling along a route. We facilitate the matching, negotiation, and tracking of deliveries but do not act as a shipping carrier or logistics company.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current registration information.
  • Couriers must complete identity verification and any onboarding requirements before accepting delivery requests.
  • Business couriers must provide valid business registration documents where applicable.

4. User Accounts

  • Each user may maintain only one active account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at devs@vastracktech.com.ng if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Services Provided

RoutTag provides tools to:

  • Senders: Post package delivery requests, view available couriers traveling their desired route, negotiate pricing, confirm pickup, and track deliveries in real-time.
  • Couriers (Individuals): Set travel routes, get matched with packages along the way, negotiate fees, deliver packages, and withdraw earnings.
  • Couriers (Businesses): Manage courier fleets, handle bulk deliveries, and increase revenue through the Platform.

6. Pricing & Payments

  • Delivery prices are negotiated directly between senders and couriers. RoutTag does not set fixed prices.
  • All payments are processed through the in-app wallet system.
  • Senders must fund their wallet before confirming a delivery.
  • Couriers receive payment upon successful delivery confirmation by the sender.
  • RoutTag may charge a service fee or commission on each transaction. Current rates are displayed in the app.
  • Withdrawals are subject to processing times and applicable fees as outlined in the app.

7. Prohibited Items

Users may not send or deliver items that are illegal, hazardous, or restricted. A comprehensive list of prohibited items is available on our Prohibited Items page. Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension and possible legal action.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information about packages or identity.
  • Harass, threaten, or engage in abusive behavior toward other users.
  • Attempt to circumvent the Platform to conduct off-platform transactions.
  • Tamper with, interfere with, or disrupt the Platform's operation.
  • Create multiple accounts or impersonate other users.

9. Liability & Disclaimers

  • RoutTag acts solely as an intermediary connecting senders and couriers. We do not own, possess, or handle any packages.
  • We are not liable for loss, damage, theft, or delay of packages during transit.
  • Users are encouraged to declare the value of high-value items and obtain independent insurance where appropriate.
  • The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of the service fee paid for the specific transaction in question.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute between a sender and courier, users should first attempt to resolve it through in-app messaging.
  • If unresolved, either party may escalate the issue to RoutTag Support for mediation.
  • RoutTag's decision in mediation is advisory and not legally binding unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • For formal disputes, the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria shall apply, and the parties agree to the jurisdiction of the courts in Lagos, Nigeria.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including logos, text, graphics, software, and design — is the property of RoutTag or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

12. Termination

  • You may deactivate your account at any time through the app settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
  • Upon termination, any pending wallet balance will be settled in accordance with applicable policies, minus any outstanding fees or penalties.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
